During the third week of May, on May 21st and 22nd SMART Myanmar collaborated with ETI for a two-day workshop at Jasmine Palace Hotel. The workshop is conducted by Nancy Feng, senior technical expert from SMART with Chinese Mandrin language and 23 participants from Chinese owned firms attended this workshop on the topic of Social Dialogue, Labour Laws and Managing Across Cultures. The participants discussed on such topics, mainly focused on general information of Myanmar industrial relations, requirements of buyers/brands relevant to the ETI Base Code and interpretation on Myanmar key labour laws and Occupational Health & Safety law as well as communication and management on cultural sensitivity and developing better social dialogue. At the end of the workshop, SMART Myanmar awarded certificates to the participants who attend on both days.
