SMART FACTORIES
Since 2013, the SMART Factories Programme has transformed standards in Myanmar's apparel industry, working to eliminate child labour, teach occupational safety and health, ensure legal remuneration, promote respectful workplace relations and introduce international best practices such as the first solar PV rooftop systems and rice husk pellet boilers in the industry. Now continued under the MADE project, the SMART Factories enterprise advisory programmes are implemented by several dedicated teams of over 20 trainers, engineers and assessors. Major modules include: social compliance, industrial relations, chemical management, energy efficiency and workplace nutrition.

THE FORUM ON SUPPLY CHAIN CONDUCT
Our platform for dialogue, The Forum is where we bring together actors across the supply chain, especially retailers, labour rights groups, business associations and other stakeholders. The Forum is a new element of the MADE project. In 2023, we are bringing retailers into meaningful discussions with both international and local business associations and with local labour rights defenders in Myanmar. Many will understand that industrial relations are fragile in Myanmar. The MADE project aims to nurture and strengthen the space for safe and effective discussions between key stakeholders in Myanmar's apparel manufacturing sector.
