On February 26th and 27th, SMART Myanmar hosted a 2-day workshop which is part of the SMART Managemet Systems Lab Series, "Implementing Social Compliance" workshop, conducted by technical experts of SMART Myanmar's Social Compliance team. The workshop is held at the new training centre of MGMA in the compound of Government Technical Institute (GTI) in Insein township. Under the topics of social compliance, the workshop also includes group discussion focused on the solutions to control the common issues happening in the factories and also discussed with group-by-group, on some facts to notice and consider when planning the policies and procedures for factories. 35 persons from factories participated in this workshop and learned about labor right and the law requirements, best practices and documentation for environmental health and safety. Moreover, the participants learned about leaves and holidays rules of 2018 in this workshop and the participants accepted the signed certificates.
